This sanctuary is located at the confluence of the Indravati, Perlkota and Pamul Gautam rivers. The temple of Bhamradevi (a deity worshipped by the Gond tribals) stands here, on the banks of the Perlkota river. In the vicinity is the Gond fort, where an annual festival celebreated. The wildlife sanctuary itself occupies an area of 104 sq.km. and abounds in wildlife.
