EVEN as the first multiplex in the city by Inox Leisure Limited,the country's leading multiplex operators,is yet to cut its first anniversary cake,the company is geared to launch yet another multiplex in the city.
The new multiplex will be located on Kamptee Road.Talking to The Hitavada,General Manager (corporate communications) of the company,Snehal chitneni informed that the new multiplex will have as many as four screens with a total seating capacity of 1,000."Things are being worked upon and if they go Inox's way,the multiplex will be operatonal by December",Chitneni revealed.
The multiplex will be constructed by Tuli International with which the company has a tie-up."The new multiplex will boast of swanky interiors,world class acoustics,luxurious seating and the ultra-modern fixtures that the company's existing multiplex in city is noted for.The multiplex will be managed by Inox",Chitneni said.
Speaking about the investment for the new multiplex,Chitneni said,"on an average we spend around Rs 2 to 2.5 crore per screen.It depends on the location,clientele,paying capacity of the people etc."
However she refused to disclose the pricing of the tickets."The ticket prices are being worked out and they will be within reach of the common man.The tickets will be priced at the same level as the existing multiplex",she said.
In a bid to woo customers,the multiplex will have 'Refuel',the company's flagship restaurant."It will be a multi-cuisine restaurant,"she said.
Inox currently has 12 multiplexs with 51 screens across the country.The company is planning to invest around Rs 300 crore on new screens.
"The multiplex in the city will be coming up as a part of the company's plans to consolidate its presence across all major cities in the country. The company has plans to add 32 multiplexes to its existing 12 properties over the next one year,"Chitneni said.
The proposed multiplexes would increase the number of screens to 178.According to her,the company plans to have a presence across all the cities with population of more than a million besides metros and tier-I cities like Bangalore and Hyderabad.
The company will also set up multiplexes in Pune,Belgaum and Raipur.
