Book lovers are in for a treat as the biggest book store chain of the
country has announced its arrival in the city. The first branch of
Crossword was inaugurated above Jaika Motors showroom in Civil Lines
unleashing a plethora of books, CD's, magazines and an unmatched
ambience specially designed to make reading a pleasurable experience.
Avid readers will not have to scan shabby book stores in dilapidated
structures of various streets of Nagpur to get a book of their choice.
With over 20,000 titles on more than 15 different categories including
fiction and non-fiction, occult and astrology, food and drink, fairy
tales and fables et al. Crossword will definitely be the new address of
reading audiences in the city.
In a glittering function, eminent chef Sanjeev Kapoor inaugurated the
store on Friday Morning. The store has an exclusive section for kids
with educational Cds,toys, picture books, rhyme books and greeting
cards. Aniyan Nair, Head operations and Marketing Crossword said the
Nagpur has huge potential for book retailing and Crossword might open
three more outlets in city within two years. They are aiming 100 stores
in next three years in top 25 cities of India. Methodical
classifications, clear sign boards, a dedicated enquiry, order desk and
attractive displays are the most attractive features of the new book
store. Crossword is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shopper's Stop Limited
