There is no doubt that before the grooming of the Multiplexes this cinema hall was one of the reputed cinemas of Nagpur, as English movies use to run at this theatre. I would like to narrate my own experience about the management i.e. In Advance Booking the booking clerk never issues the tickets for A & B rows in Upper Stall whether the movie is running to full houses or empty. At the time of entry before the shows the main gate is never opened for public, as it is only opened during the interval. The parking area is very congested, as at the time of housefull the cycle owners and two wheeler owners have to wait till the space is vacant (After the space is vacated by the previous shows people). The cycle stand persons are very, very notorious. The black marketers (Outside and Staff Members) use to dictate their terms to the booking staff who is also hand-in-glove with the black marketers. Though the owner and his son use to sit daily in the theatre, but no action has been taken against the culprits. Now after the coming-up of the Multiplexes I stopped coming for a movie at this place, as in Multiplex there is no scope for black market. All the staffs are being good salary and very disciplined. In Multiplex one can book the ticket via internet, phone, home delivery etc. etc. That's why the single screens is loosing its charm including this one.

I have seen a lot of good English Movies screened in this cinema during my college days.this movie hall was inagurated on 8th march1946.As a Nagpurian settled in Chennai, i do miss this theatre as well as sharmas-owners of liberty group.my best wishes for the prosperity of this group.
