I have been to Pachmari by car. The road is excellent expect a patch near chindwara. The Parasia Ghats are dnagerous at night, don't drive through it in the night. There have been cases of dacoits in that area. Pachmari is a lovely place to be in. No mobiles work except BSNL. Hire a Gypsy and Guide and ask them to take you to every spot. Its worth a visit.
